Sherwood high was more of a second home than a school. In no other school have I received or witnessed the love and care that I did in this one. It was a safe place where we all could be ourselves and grow to the best of our abilities. My classmates along with our teachers were like a family all from different cultures and backgrounds united by the common goal to either receive or provide an education. Oftentimes students are taught to strive for academic excellence at any cost but one of the most important values I’ve learnt from studying here was that it is better to be a good person than a successful one. Six years later, I still look back to all the memories I made and all the things I learnt in this school fondly. Sherwood High gave me the courage to face life beyond school and is a huge part of who I am today as a person.

I took admission in Sherwood High in Grade 6 and was very nervous as it was a new place and new city. But the teachers, my classmates and the whole environment made me feel home in no time. This school has given me some of my best memories, been a big part of making me who I am today and making me realize why they call school our second home. I made friends here who I wish to have by my side for a lifetime, I found the most hardworking and compassionate teachers who made it all easy for us even in our last year when we were all locked up in our houses. They made sure we don’t shut down. They were always there for us. The place holds more memories than any of us could ever imagine , the basketball courts, the grounds, the classes and the corridors. We were comfortable in our little second home not caring about anything else. And I miss that. I would give anything to do it all over again because Sherwood was home.

I am Shyam Balaji, Class of 2019. I had joined Sherwood High in 4th Standard in 2012. Sherwood High School had provided an environment where we learned a lot of basic skills, was involved in extracurricular activities, gained knowledge, and made good friends. The teachers were great! I would like to special mention the Manohar Sir, who helped us to participate in the inter-school football competitions. Overall, I had an amazing time at Sherwood High.

We have often heard “School is our second home” and Sherwood High proved that these words are true. The seven years I spend in school are unforgettable and in fact the happiest and fruitful days in my life. “Learn, Lead, Succeed” wasn’t just a motto we heard, it was something that we truly experienced in school.

The priceless effort, understanding, support and guidance of all the teachers contributed to my progress. Be it academic or extra-curricular activities, Sherwood High always provided ample opportunities to grow and discover myself in every sphere. I learned the values of integrity and dedication from all my teachers, got my first taste in leadership and learned to work hard and have fun at the same time.
I am grateful for everything my school has taught me. Nostalgia is all what I have now and will cherish it throughout my life.

Everyone says school is like your second home, but Sherwood High was my first. I spent the best and most important 7 years of my life at Sherwood and my eyes welled up with tears every time I stepped foot on campus. I’d once walked the same soil as the head girl. Sherwood gave me the chance to be the captain of the basketball team and the opportunity to become a part of the choir. At Sherwood, faculty equals family. With their heart-warming Cheshire cat smiles, they entered and left classrooms with utmost dedication and sincerity, never failing to leave behind a part of themselves with us. The sparkle I see in their eyes when they see me each time is priceless, and I miss my teachers. But what I miss more, are my partners in crime, who stood by my side through thick and thin.

Sherwood had grown into a three-building campus, which is unfamiliar but at the same time too familiar. Today, Sherwood has made me, well…me – a second year law student at NUALS with infinite unforgettable memories from the past and billions of possibilities in the future.

When I joined Sherwood high I literally came to this school holding the hands of my parents. Then I grew up in Sherwood where my teachers held my hands at each and every step in spite of all my mischievous deeds . They were my guides and pillars of strength each and every day at school. Whatever I am doing today or will do in future in my life, my school and teachers will always be my source of faith and inspiration. Currently I am doing my B.Tech from IIT Bombay. Life here is gradually teaching me to be self dependent and to follow my passion.Time will also determine where I finally find my ultimate goal and satisfaction.

Sherwood High. A phrase that brings in joy and happiness in my mind. Every time I think of my school, I only think of how desperately I want to go back. This school was my second home and it will be forever. It’s always a proud feeling to call Sherwood as my school because of its friendly and cheerful environment. The teachers I had, the friends I met, the knowledge that I gained is irreplaceable. My teachers made me feel safe and content at school. They are the main reason that I would wake up every morning and want to go to school. I am who I am today only because of the wonderful upbringing by this school. It reminds me that “Success is a sum of small efforts, day in and day out”. The symphony of the music room, the loud laughers in the ground, followed by the silent giggles in the classroom are the sounds that I cherish to this day. My 8 years in Sherwood went by so quickly that I didn’t realize it until it was actually graduation day and everyone was tearful about leaving the school. Sherwood means the world to me and I sometimes wish that I could go back to my school life. Not to change anything, but to live everything twice.
